Its read/write speed is noticeably faster than my 4gb Ultra II, not as noticeable compared with the 4gb extreme III. Having the massive card makes live easier, 15mb raws comes out to about 500 pics on this card. I rarely shoot more than that in a day.
I purchased this card thinking it will out last my days using the D200, and hopefully its read/write speed limits will be put to work on my next generation camera.

So far I've not had use for the sandisk recovery software that comes with these higher grade type cards on the card. However messing with it a few times on a damaged CD was a pain in the arse, and leaves a lot to be desired as far as software goes.

I still think CF cards are a little overpriced. Nonetheless, I bought this card for a friend using a Canon EOS 40D and he is more than satisfied with it.

Be very careful when purchasing these Extreme IV 8.0GB "Sandisk" CF cards. I bought one that was also a counterfeit on here and after it failed and I lost all of my photos, I contacted the manufacturer only to find out that the card is counterfeit. I have many other Sandisk cards and could not tell the difference between the real cards and this fake one, so be very careful. I lost hundreds of photos from a trip I recently took that can never be replaced. I wouldn't risk it if I were you.
